Lori has always loved clothes and fashion. Even as a young girl, Lori remembers laying out her clothes for the week and assessing how her wardrobe pieces worked together.
Although Lori has been a Certified Image Consultant and provided Professional and Personal Wardrobe consultations for 15 years, she felt it was only a hobby while she continued to climb the corporate ladder.
It wasn’t until four years ago when Lori attended a friends’ birthday party that she realized she had to quit the corporate world and follow her heart. Lori had given her friend a scarf for her birthday and as she was showing her different ways to wear it, the guests at the party encouraged Lori this was her true calling. She decided to leave her corporate job and pursue a career in Image Consulting.
Lori became a certified Image Consultant upon completing a six-month, certificated course through California State University, Long Beach Continuing Education titled ‘Fashion Image Consulting.’ Lori also received Image Certification through the Association of Image Consultants International.
Lori was the Wardrobe Consultant for John Robert Powers Modeling & Acting School, a panel judge for the National American Miss Beauty Pageant in Denver, and Fashion Editor for The Downtowner magazine. Lori was interviewed and quoted for the article 'Ten Weekend Bag Essentials' in Forbes.Com released August 22, 2007.
She recently completed a speaking series to a local Gastric Bypass Patient Support Group and continues to host seminars and workshops for various professional women’s groups, Chambers of Commerce and other organizations.
Lori led two ‘What To Wear’ programs earlier this year with Douglas County Libraries based upon the hit TLC’s cable show “What Not To Wear”. She also did a "Dress for Success" presentation for Douglas County's Clerk & Recorder's Office.
Lori also volunteers her time with Dress For Success, a non-profit agency that assists low income women dress professional as they transition into the work force.
She also taught wardrobe and color imaging course with a local photographer to potential models…giving them the knowledge to create a striking portfolio.
Lori is a member of the Association of Image Consultants International, Fashion Group International, and several local business Chambers.
